"Butlers Cigar Bar" is made of polished marble with sandblasted letters and logo. The lettering and logo have been painted to the architects specifications. Butlers is located in the Grand Hyatt in Washington, DC

This is an example of a sandblasted redwood sign. Redwood and other materials such as sign foam allow for a very wide range of effects such as the graining evident in the blasted background.

This two piece Georgia Gray Granite sign is at the entrance to the Government Services Center in Frederick, MD. The top has sandblasted letters on a polished face while the bottom of the sign is rough granite. Designed to reflect the angled shape of the building entrance, the sign stands over seven feet tall.

Typical of many cemeteries, Blue Ridge Cemetery in Thurmont has chosen natural stone as the material for it's entry sign. Here we see the sign being set into the flowerbed base. The use of flagstone and treated lumber fits in with the natural setting on the cemetery.

Many housing developments large or small now have landscaped entrances. This sign is one of a pair at the entrance to the Augustine community in Stafford, Virgina. The
Celtic Black granite panels are six feet wide by
four feet tall and are set into field stone columns.

The city of College park decided to use a rough boulder
excavated at the site of one of the city's many "pocket parks".  The lettering is inscribed directly into the surface of the boulder.

The use of vinyl lettering on wooden signs has grown over the last few years. This sign is located in Lorton, Virgina and was adapted from a sign originally used by the sales office by removing all the existing text and replacing it with the community name.
